Growing up in the small town of Barrington, New Hampshire. Kris Johnsen has always endured a love for the wilderness. The forest shapes his work in many ways, from the texture of organic objects, to the dirtiness of found objects.
After graduating from Maine College of Art, studying Graphic Design, Kris started his own art studio in The Artist Studio Building in Portland, called Emblem Studio. He also is co-creator of The Portland Pins Project. Kris continues to create multi-color screen prints, collages, large-scale drawings and graphic design work.
